DoubleSun® products can be used with any standard photovoltaic module. When compared to standard roof-top applications, the annual energy gain obtained by 1kWp of modules within a DoubleSun® solar concentrators oscillated between +78% and +84%, depending on location. When compared to 2-axis trackers, DoubleSun® solar concentrators guarantee an annual energy gain between +20% and +32%, depending on location.
The products are organized depending on the solar module area; current production includes the following units:
- DoubleSun® Four (real power up to 1350 W; module area up to 2.5 square meters)
- DoubleSun® Five (real power up to 1700 W; module area up to 3 square meters)
The DoubleSun® technology was developed and patented by WS Energia.
Each unit includes: two flat mirrors, solar tracking systems, 2 linear motors, SunGravityControl, mast, PV module temperature sensor, wind sensor, Bluetooth-GSM-CAN communication systems. Optional: remote monitoring and remote control (via GSM or WebBased) of the trackers.
