WWSW
Creation of a communication network between solar energy production systems. It will create a World Wide Solar Web to be a key plataform for the insertion of solar technologies in smart-grids. Status: Partners definition.
WS NPT
Integrated management platform that defines, evaluates and validates the method of work to think about successful products, from concept to global commercialization. The results is a process with less risk and faster entrance of any innovation in the market. Co-funded by POCF-QREN. Status: launched.
HSUN
This individual R&D project of WS Energia aims to create a high-efficiency photovoltaic system designed to reduce the solar cell usage in 95% by using mirror to achieve Solar Concentration. This technology can be revolutionary by turning solar electricy costs competitive with electricity generated by fossil fuels.
The project ended in December 2011. Results of the project can be consulted here (PDF 600k).
Co-funded by POCF-QREN. Status: Product development.
WS Horizon
A single axis tracker to compete directly with fix solutions. A total new mechanical structure was designed apart from the 2-axis projects of DoubleSun and WS T1000/1600. The SunGravityControl technology is used and the designed was developed in order to simplify installation and maintenance. Check the commercial information in Trackers. Financed by WS Energia. Status: Introduced to the market.
WS T1000 and T1600
Innovative double-axis trackers designed by WS Energia with a total module power of 1.80 and 3.30 kW. The tracking technology uses the SunGravityControl and the design allows mounting without the need of mechanical elevation methods. Check the commercial information in Trackers. Financed by WS Energia. Status: Completed in a commercial product.
SunGravityControl
Development of new robotics for solar trackers control. This robust technology allows accurate tracking independent of measurements of the position of the Sun. It also integrates state and orders communication between the tracker and a remote user. Financed by WS Energia. Status: Completed in a commercial product.
DoubleSun®
The product range DoubleSun® can increase the power modules using conventional mirrors that double the radiation incident on the modules. This was the first innovation of WS Energia and it won the National Innovation Prize from BES. Co-funded by Agência de Inovação. Status: Completed in a commercial product.
